Very, Very Cool. Lytro Camera Introduction

Lytro is a new kind of camera that captures “light field” data inside a scene. Instead of capturing an image with one focal point, Lytro captures all light in an area and allows you to re-focus the image after the fact. You dont need to waste time focusing to try and capture the perfect shot. You just turn the Lytro camera on and it’s ready immediately for a single click on the shutter button. 

All the technical details are a little above my head but it looks very, very cool. For more info, check out, this VIDEO from AllThingsD or the sample Lytro picture below. 

Just click on different points on the picture to re-focus.
