Apple now leads in Smartphones over Nokia

Photo credited to mofonu.comMacrumors has posted a story from The Financial Times that show Apple has climbed above Nokia in smartphone sales. Apple has beaten the giant phone maker my about 4 million sales this past quarter. 

When Apple announced the iPhone in 2007 they stated that their goal was to capture 10 percent of the then 100 million strong smartphone market by the end of 2008. They have far surpassed that and have sold over 20 million iPhones in the last quarter alone.
